The CFI at a glance

The CFI provides a yearly teaching programme intended for dental surgeons and stomatologists, the goal of which is the introduction and perfection of dental implantology through the study of fundamental clinical concepts and surgical-prosthetic procedures linked to this specialty.

The French College of Implantology founded in 1994 is a private postgraduate vocational training body registered with the Ministry of Employment (n°11752629975).

In the course of each academic year, many practitioners learn the theoretical and practical elements of dental implantology.

This postgraduate vocational training in implantology consists of three inter-dependent stages.

1. The aquisition of the specific theoretical principles relating to oral surgery and more especially to implant surgery.
 Definition of the treatment plans.
 Occlusion concepts, parodontology, oral surgery, asepsis, imagery, medico-legal aspects, budgets.

2. Modules involving practical work.
 Sessions dedicated to practical work on parodontology.
 Practical work on oral and maxillofacial dissections.
 Practical work on the insertion of implants (various systems).

3. Prostheses on implants.
 Presentation of several implant systems.
 Handling and analysis of the prosthetic devices.
 Making prostheses on implants in the laboratory.
